Reflecting

I think the most successful accomplishments I've had on this journey is that I've learned more about what actually goes on in a doctor's office. Know that I've seen a first hand experience of what goes on, I can relate my experiences to more topics. If I could go back in time, I would probably make an earlier date for when I could've seen the procedure. This would have allowed me to get more time to work on the project post procedure day.

Finalizing Details regarding the Procedure

I've been talking with my dad about when a good time would be and he said sometime in the next couple of weeks so be on the look out for that blog coming very soon. I've been meeting my goals for this project so I should have the final project done on time. About the surgery, I don't know for sure what it might be on just yet but it might be something not so complex because this is my first time doing this.

I do have some concerns about how I would be watching it from a place where I wouldn't be in the way. I'm sure I'll find a way to get past that though. I'm feeling good about the project at this point because everything is on track for success.

Getting Closer to the Procedure Date

The procedure day is getting closer by the week. Sometime in  these next couple of weeks I am going to be watching the procedure take place and taking down information about the operation. The procedure might involve the spine but it could change. This seems like it would be a fun one sit in on since its something that's not hard to explain and you can actually feel your spine.

Fresh Start

For my 20% time project, I will be watching my dad do a procedure. I wanted to do this because when I grow up, I want to be a surgeon as well and this would be a good way for me to start familiarizing myself with what I might have to do in the future.

The only challenge I see what this is that I might be in the way when they are working on something because I might slow them down. I don’t I’ll be too much of a problem. I’ll probably go watch about 3-5 times and learn about a different procedure every time I go. I’ll do this by sitting in a corner and taking notes and paying attention to what they do. What scares me about this project is what I’ll be looking at and I don’t know if my stomach can handle.
